I find it quiet interesting How two of the most humble servants in the Bible were both severely reprimanded by God....
- First we examine Moses... This is during the burning bush incident...
Exodus 4 10 But Moses said to the Lord, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.” 11 Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” _____________________________________________________ -Then we have Job, who lived almost a perfect life! God tested him because He was confident in Job's steadfastness... and yet as Job questioned God....
Job 38:1
Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
2 “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Dress for action [1] like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.
4 “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding................."
What do you guys think about this? Why would these two men out of any be reprimanded so severely by God?

They forgot, even if only for a moment, God's sovereignty and His goodness. When we forget something in school our grades suffer. When we forget to do as our parents ask we sometimes face punishment. God does the same. He repremands us for our lack of faith--we, who have the ultimate gift of eternal life with Him to look forward to. But at the same time--He is slow to anger and full of mercy for our forgetful souls.
