This book is incredible!! Wow, don't have it? Get it. Anyone who has read the book or has something to dialog about concerning the material in the book, please post here!
Here are some of the things that have stood out to me so far...
I. Chapter 1: The promise of humility. A. Isaiah 66:2b (ESV) But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. (pg 19)
B. It's not those who help themselves whom God helps, rather "...he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6 (ESV) (pg 21) C. "Let's ask ourselves: When it comes to the values we live by, what will others say about us one day? Will they testify that humility characterized our lives?(pg 23)
Any Thoughts? Anyone else out there deal with pride?

Love the book. I don't really have an profound things to say right now, however. (Just coming off a long and hot day in a warehouse--I think my brain cooked.)
Maybe tomorrow morning after my devotions I'll have some more stuff to share.

I'm in the middle of this book. I'll grab my notebook and post some of my thoughts on it later, but suffice it to say for the moment that it is an incredibly good book - both convicting and grace-filled.
